What is Western Zodiac?

The Western zodiac (also called the horoscope) is based on the tropical zodiac, which divides the year into 12 signs. Each sign is associated with a constellation and represents approximately 30 days of the year.

The Four Elements

• Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): Passionate, dynamic, temperamental
• Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): Grounded, practical, stable
• Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): Intellectual, social, communicative
• Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): Emotional, intuitive, sensitive

Three Qualities

• Cardinal (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): Initiators, leaders, action-oriented
• Fixed (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): Stable, determined, persistent
• Mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): Adaptable, flexible, changeable

Compatibility

Generally, signs of the same element are compatible (e.g., Fire with Fire), and complementary elements work well together (Fire with Air, Earth with Water). However, individual compatibility depends on many factors beyond sun signs.
